Check out the budget airlines that fly to Barcelona

To reduce overheads and keep ticket prices low, these airlines only offer bookings through their on-line web sites or by a telephone reservation system. This means you won't be able to book these flights through a travel agency or 3rd party company like Expedia or Travelocity.
Book on time. You're most likely to get a ticket at a good price if you book at least a few months in advance. The Budget airline seats fill up quickly and then prices rise.

Get flights for Barcelona at a lower price

Make mid-week bookings. Bookings made for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are often the cheapest tickets.
Take a late night or early morning flight. If it is possible look into flying in early in the morning or late at night, you are most likely to get these flights at a lower price.
Consider a different airport. If you can't find any cheap flights to Barcelona International Airport consider flying to Girona Airport. Girona is only 1 hour 20 minutes north of Barcelona by train.
