Many entrepreneurial companies are created in Barcelona

 

The 22 @ Barcelona, a few steps from the Plaza de les Glories, is abuzz. Near BarcelonActiva, the municipal body that aids the development of new technology companies, startups abound. According to official sources, a few months ago there were near 700 vacancies in the sector. Meanwhile, the partnership with Barcelona Frenchtech is listed as one of the most dynamic in the world.

After appearing at Mobile World Congress 2016, hosted from 22 to 25 February in Barcelona, and attended by 60 new French companies, the French Tech Barcelona was officially launched on April 29, 2016.

There is a need for rental apartments

This first meeting showed the importance of new technological companies for Barcelona’s economy. If the French sector is renowned for this technology, Barcelona now hosts new projects of up and coming companies every week, of all sizes and with all nationalities aboard.

In addition to the unique quality of life in Barcelona (the city was ranked sixth in the world), the Catalan capital has an international airport that is well connected to many other European cities. Demand continues to grow for rental apartments in Barcelona especially for this latest clientele, who are younger and have different needs than the traditional expatriates.
